It’s an intersting subject. I suppose women have always taken to this sort of thing more than men and stereotypical views can be hard to alter. You could ask this question about many things. There are certain things that women seem to be better than men at (and the other way round), but it doesn’t mean it is always this way. Fewer men are interested but some are.

Looks like you have your question answered but I just wanted to support what Kelly said in the first comment. Getting a good basic background in art is a really good grounding for graphic design. You may get a long way without it but you’ll probably get even further with it. Understanding the fundamentals of art underpins all areas of design.

This is a very funny video and so very true as well. Freelancers seem to cop this all the time and not just in graphic design. It always makes me laugh if I hear or read this is a very easy and quick job and should take more than a couple of days to complete. I think ‘well, if it’s so easy, then you do it yourself’. Thanks for the laugh.
